The subsidized destruction of fishing boats is rapidly changing the cultural landscape in the Greek seas. Fishing boats are disappearing, shipyards are closing, picturesque harbors on the islands are being filled with plastic boats and most fishermen are leaving their profession. An expression of the Maritime Tradition of Greece is being obliterated under the responsibility of the Greek State! It is an unjust loss of modern Greek culture, which we must not allow to continue today…
